Baari awarded as the best B2B service

Kärkimedia Baari has been awarded as the best B2B service in Grand One, a competition for digital marketing communication. Futurice is Baari’s principal development partner.

Baari is a digital service for media professionals. It features easy-to-use tools for analyzing and planning newspaper advertising and has received very good feedback from the end users.

According to the jury Baari is “an excellent idea stemming from knowing the end users and their needs. The customer benefit is tangible.”

“A great, new execution and a very likely potential export”, the jury continues.

Project manager Mikko Viikari emphasizes the importance of an ambitious customer and trusted partners. During the process Futurice has closely cooperated with Kärkimedia, Citat, Documill and media agencies.

“The award shows that the winners in digital world are those who operate in a determined way and really know their end users”, Viikari says.

Kärkimedia is a sales and marketing organisation representing 34 newspapers, which are all leaders in their market areas.

Futuricen rakentama Baari palkittiin parhaana B2B-palveluna

Kärkimedian Baari on palkittu parhaana B2B-palveluna digitaalisen markkinointiviestinnän Grand One -kilpailussa. Futurice on Baarin päävastuullinen kehityskumppani.

Baari on media-ammattilaisille suunnattu digitaalinen palvelu, joka tekee sanomalehtimainonnan analysoinnista ja suunnittelusta vaivatonta. Se on saanut käyttäjiltään kiittävää palautetta.

Tuomariston mukaan Baari on “erinomainen, asiakkaiden tarpeista ja kuuntelusta ponnistanut idea, jossa asiakashyöty toteutuu hyvin konkreettisella tavalla”. “Mahtava ja uusi toteutus sekä hyvin potentiaalinen vientituote”, tuomaristo jatkaa.

Projektia vetänyt Mikko Viikari korostaa kunnianhimoisen asiakkaan ja luotettavien kumppanien merkitystä. Baari rakennettiin tiiviissä yhteistyössä Kärkimedian, Citatin, Documillin ja mediatoimistojen kanssa.

Futurice goes to Switzerland

Futurice is strengthening its presence in Central Europe by setting up a new mobile team in Lausanne, Switzerland. Since the beginning of this year, Futurice has had a multidisciplinary team of seven professionals present.

This expansion is part of our international growth strategy: to become a strong European company in lean service creation of digital services.

Managing Director of Futurice GmbH, Gian Casanova, says that Futurice is willing to search for more international business in Switzerland for various reasons:

“Switzerland is an interesting and growing business area and the Geneva region is the home of several multinational companies. In addition, the Swiss universities belong to the top ones in the world. Futurice’s unique culture will help us to attract top talent from these universities”, says Casanova, originally Swiss himself.

At the moment Futurice has the HQ in Helsinki and offices in Tampere, Berlin, and London. The London office was founded the last, in the beginning of 2012.
