Working with Kiinteistömaailma to design and implement a fully renewed web service with great usability, ensuring their customers kept coming back for more.

The goal:

Well-known Finnish real-estate agency Kiinteistömaailma wanted to ensure that their clientele had access to the best online real-estate service online technology could offer. They wanted to completely rebuild their technically out-dated website so that it fully utilized the potential of current technology. Kiinteistömaailma’s key goal was clear – find out why the customer would come back to their service time after time, then put that knowledge to work. Two concrete aims were to gain new leads and to improve user satisfaction.

The process:

The service concept and design was developed by the Futurice team working closely with Kiinteistömaailma. Having the design and software teams working in partnership meant that goals were achieved quickly, efficiently and no one lost sight of the desired end result. The service was piloted internally at Kiinteistömaailma before going public, which helped the team to iron out any bugs as well as give them insight for future development. The public launch went ahead as scheduled, in October of 2010.

The result:

The statistics look good. The amount of users rose by about 100 000 during the first month, the average amount of time spent on the site increased by 75%, and use of Kiinteistömaailma’s landmark service, auction-based real-estate selling, has risen tenfold. Development of the service continues. What’s more, a well-built base means ever-increasing opportunities for good investments continue to appear as Kiinteistömaailma builds up their usage data. As a Futurice customer states it: “Be happy when you find a good, committed team.”
