Building an enterprise resource planning system for a chain of pizza restaurants.
The goal:
Facing a significant IT systems renewal need, Kotipizza – the largest pizza restaurant chain in the Nordic countries – recruited the help of Futurice to design and implement their new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. The back office system had to provide seamless integration for the front-end systems in order to supply them with data about products, restaurants and employees.
The process:
Futurice first interviewed the personnel of Kotipizza to create a comprehensive picture of the business and end-user requirements of the new system. Based on the research, a new concept model for the system was designed. Futurice agile team then built the new system, working in close collaboration with the customer and integrating vendors to ensure the best possible outcome for the project.
The result:
The end result was a new efficient ERP platform that provides good possibilities for Kotipizza to optimize business processes and drive their business forward. The new system provides a single source for data, thus removing redundancy and repetitive administration work.
