Amazon Audible

Customer need
Amazon wanted to make their audiobook service mobile. No one in the world had done a streaming service in the constrained Java Midlet mobile platforms before. Amazon got a hint of us from one of our satisfied previous customers and called for help.

Our solution
After a few days of prototyping we could confirm that the implementation was possible, and the real implementation project was launched. As we were right on the edge of the technical capabilities of the phones, we had to learn the phone peculiarities by heart. The effort was awarded by a quality consumer product, which was pre-installed on the phones of four different handset manufacturers.

Due to scarce internal resources, DNA wanted to find a company capable of taking end-to-end responsibility of the task.

Our solution
We created the concept, user interface design and implementation for a private photo sharing service. The service is easy to use and stores the photos safely. Flickr took a hint of this and brought their own service soon after, with also the public sharing options.
