As a frontend coder you know and you are enthusiastic about the newest frontend techniques. You work together with our UX team to make sure that the design is realizable from the very first. And during the implementation you work in close cooperation with the server-side gurus to build the end-to-end functionalities with a great user experience.
You enjoy the challenges of designing robust yet elegant server-side architecture, skillfully navigating the treacherous waters of scalability, security and performance while providing your peers with the support they require. You are able to take on the role as a lead developer in a major development project. You take quality seriously and evaluate new technology innovations in your field with an open mind, sharing your discoveries with others.
As a mobile developer in Futurice, you bring into life concepts created by our UX-team or our customers. You push the limits of ever-changing and evolving mobile platforms while creating media-rich applications that take the user’s social and physical context into account.
As a project manager in Futurice you will not do traditional resource management of the waterfall era, since we are all about agile. Our project managers carry account responsibility and by their efforts, sales and other, help the team to grow and flourish. You want to learn business development and have excellent communication skills. Ensuring customer satisfaction is a fundamental part of your work and vital to the company.
As a Scrum Master you help our cross-functional teams work effectively and to continuously improve their work. You know agile methods, and how to create a motivated group that is capable of solving difficult problems and delivers great value to our customers.
The members of Futurice’s UX team – a group of concept, interaction, UI and graphic designers – join development teams in order to make sure that the end-user experience supports the vision of the product under development.
As QA specialist you will be working as part of a development team to deliver the highest possible quality. It is not limited to sitting back and wait till you start testing, you’ll actively need to promote good quality practices, test whenever something is done and support project management and customer to keep the quality in check.
We don’t pigeonhole our employees. We are ramping up our consultancy operations which officially started on the 1st of January. We are looking now for one business minded consultant with tech understanding to join us. The person would preferably have minimum 5 years of consultancy experience and fluent skills in Finnish and English. Why are we looking somebody from outside as we have such great people inside the company? We have great service designers and tech people. In regards to consultancy operations there is a great deal of stuff we can learn also from outside and we believe we can learn such stuff from a new face.
The consultancy operations are about creating cases together with the customer. We aim to support the ongoing business by being the first one at the table. We make the initiatives look like we want them to look so that they can be carried out properly. We make the customer trust us before they make decision about the vendor. It will be a melting pot of business consultancy, service design and tech consultancy. We create our customers digital strategies, efficiency in their service creation operations and program plans and service designs for their user intensive services.
He/She would be nice a person as well as really talented and capable. She knows the consultancy stuff already, not everything, but enough to make the right questions. She has been serving already a range of companies in industries also outside telecom. The background may be business school or technical school or … something else suitable. She would be curious and eager to learn our ways of doing things. Along the way she would also teach us a bunch of new things.
Yes, definitely! The person will have a chance to take part in the building phase of the consultancy operations in a great company! Futurice has a lot to offer to the market and the person will get to see the whole life of great services coming into life. As the core operations will for starters consist first of me, one of the founders of Futurice and this new dude, the hierarchy is small and she will get to discuss straight with the top. We will be the eyes and ears of Futurice to the customer’s top management.
