What do you think is the biggest Hype in the context of Future Mobility?
Looking at the Future of Mobility, I think that ride hailing terminates the distinction between private and public transport modes.
What is your role in the context of future mobility (today and in the future?)
In my company CAR2AD, I am the connector between digital business models and mobility providers.
Are we too German centric when we look at the mobility world?
My feeling is, that in an increasingly mobile world, we are too often focussed at the German bundle of regulatory and the old trajectories of the OEM ecosystem. This might stop us in the process of innovation.
What do you think are the biggest challenges that we’re facing in Germany and on a global level?
As a country, which is well known for perfection in manufacturing hardware we will no longer be the lead, when digital business models becomes the market majority.
Who would be your ideal partners for a future mobility ecosystem?
My ideal partner would be Google, because only if you know the needs and motivations behind traffic behaviour, you can be a real mobility provider. Other approaches transforms transport modes into a digital level, without thinking about a new digital ecosystem.
Does it make sense to become a software company when you are an OEM?
When we compare car manufacturing with computer manufacturing, then it will be imperative to be connected and integrated in digital business models. Hardware expertize will become a standard in a full automated production industry.
How do you imagine the mobility market of the future - will sharing options outnumber ownership?
In my opinion there is no alternative.
