About the Role
We’re looking for Summer Trainees to join our FutuCare Managed Services team in both DevOps and LiveOps. You can choose the area that aligns more closely with your interests!
This is a fantastic opportunity to get hands-on experience in ensuring the continuity and development of live systems and platforms, all while working alongside a supportive and skilled team.
Our FutuCare Managed Services team consists of two functional areas:
- DevOps, focused on application continuous development.
- LiveOps, combining service desk, operations, and platform management.
🚀 As a DevOps Trainee at FutuCare, you will be immersed in the dynamic intersection of development (Dev) and operations (Ops), playing a key role in the continuous delivery of software and services. You will work alongside experienced DevOps professionals and learn how to implement and manage the infrastructure, as well as the automated processes that enable rapid deployment and high system reliability.
We hope you have:
- Experience in backend or frontend and some knowledge in both.
- Some hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Interest in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Basic familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Languages: TypeScript/Python/Kotlin/C#.
- Web: Spring boot/Next.js/React.
🚀 As a LiveOps Trainee at FutuCare you will gain hands-on experience in the management and support of live operational environments. You will work closely with the LiveOps team to ensure the stability, health, and performance of online services and applications.
We hope you have experience of some of these:
- Some knowledge on both backend and frontend.
- Monitoring tools or incident management processes.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
- Languages: TypeScript/Python/Kotlin/C#.
- Web: Spring boot/Next.js/React/Chalice/Purify.
- Storage: PostgreSQL/DynamoDB/other.

Compensation
Our salary model is based on skills, responsibilities, and impact, aligning with your seniority and accountability. To promote inclusiveness, we follow an open salary policy. Monthly compensation to this position is between 2580-3190€ with possible bonuses and additional benefits.

❓ Can I work part-time, or is this only a full-time position?🔹 The Summer Trainee position is full-time to ensure a valuable learning experience.
❓ What happens after the Summer Trainee period?🔹 There may be opportunities to continue part-time after summer.
❓ When does the Summer Trainee period start and end?🔹 The Summer Trainee period runs from May to August (5.5.–31.8.2025). Start and end dates may be flexible depending on individual needs.
❓ Is remote work possible?🔹 Office location is in Tampere or Helsinki. We have a hybrid working mode depending on the team, so occasional work from home might be possible. We don’t offer relocation or remote work opportunities outside Finland.
❓ Is there an age limit for Summer Trainee positions?🔹 No! As long as you are of legal age, anyone is welcome to apply.
❓ Do I need to submit a transcript of my studies?🔹 It’s not mandatory. If you feel it adds relevant information about your skills, you can include it. However, the minimum required application documents are CV, cover letter, and a study/hobby project showcase.
