Futurice selected as AI Finland’s strategic partner with a focus on generative AI

Futurice has been selected as one of AI Finland’s strategic partners for 2026. Together with 11 other partners, we will help strengthen Finland’s AI ecosystem and accelerate the practical adoption of artificial intelligence across industries. Our dedicated focus area within the partnership is generative AI.

AI Finland’s strategic partnerships are designed to respond to a growing need among member organizations: deeper, more practical support in turning AI ambition into real outcomes. Over the coming year, the partners will share hands-on expertise, frameworks, and concrete use cases that organizations can apply directly in their own context.

For us, generative AI is not a trend. It is a shift in how digital services are imagined, built, and scaled.

In our experience, the biggest value does not come from isolated pilots. It comes from connecting generative AI to business strategy, customer needs, and everyday workflows. When done right, it can enhance productivity, unlock new service models, and strengthen long term competitiveness.

“AI is rapidly reshaping how organizations create value. Through our partnership with AI Finland, we want to help companies move from experimentation to scalable and responsible generative AI solutions that deliver measurable business impact,” says Riikka Vilminko-Heikkinen, Managing Director Nordics at Futurice. “Finland has strong technological expertise and a culture of collaboration. Now is the time to turn that foundation into practical advantage.”

Each strategic partner contributes expertise in a named theme, ranging from AI leadership and transformation to industry specific applications. Futurice’s role is to deepen the conversation around generative AI and share what we have learned from working at the intersection of strategy, design, data, and software development.

In 2026, AI Finland will host three AI Finland Forum events across multiple channels, combining in person gatherings, online participation, and regional satellite events. Strategic partners will lead practical focus groups designed to maximize peer learning. The materials and insights generated in these sessions will be shared across the member network to ensure that every theme results in concrete tools and actionable learnings.

“Strategic partnership is first and foremost a commitment to supporting our members through high level expertise, close collaboration, and systematic ecosystem development,” says Jenni Porvari, Community Manager at AI Finland. “Futurice brings strong capabilities in generative AI and digital transformation, and we are excited to deepen learning across organizations together.”

We see this partnership as a shared effort to build a stronger and more impactful AI ecosystem in Finland. By combining community, practical knowledge, and responsible innovation, we can help organizations not only adopt generative AI, but use it to create lasting value.

We look forward to contributing to AI Finland’s network throughout 2026 and shaping the next phase of generative AI together.
