PAM selects Futurice as partner to renew member services with a new mobile app

The Service Union United PAM has selected Futurice as its primary digital development partner for the coming years. Together, the organizations will renew PAM’s digital member services, including a new mobile application, a redesigned online service, and a new Microsoft Dynamics based member management solution.

The Service Union United PAM has selected digital transformation company Futurice as its primary digital development partner for the coming years. The collaboration aims to comprehensively renew PAM’s digital member services and build a modern mobile service for members. The multi year partnership includes a new mobile application, a redesigned online service, and the replacement of the current member registry with a Microsoft Dynamics solution. Futurice subsidiary Meltlake will be responsible for delivering the Microsoft Dynamics implementation.

The renewal is part of PAM’s broader service and technology development program, which aims to strengthen the member experience and meet evolving member expectations.

“We want to build a world class service experience for our members. People use global digital services in their daily lives, and those services set the standard for usability and quality. We want PAM’s services to be on the same level,” says Jukka Huhtanen, Head of Information Management at PAM.

PAM’s goal is to bring all member interactions into one place and make services easy to access on mobile devices. The mobile application currently under development will offer members features such as real time communication, personalized services, and visibility into the progress of their cases.

“A large share of our members work in roles where they do not have access to a computer during the workday. That is why it is important for us that PAM’s services will be easily accessible through a mobile application in the future. Our mission is to provide security in working life for our members. In the future, the trade union will travel in your pocket,” Huhtanen says.

The collaboration began this spring, and the first version of the mobile application is targeted for release later this year. The project follows an agile development model and involves a multidisciplinary team that will grow in stages throughout the engagement. Futurice was selected following a comprehensive procurement process. Key selection criteria included mobile expertise, the ability to deliver large scale digital transformations, and the collaboration model offered by Futurice.

“PAM has an ambitious vision for the future of member services and a strong desire to develop them to meet the needs of younger generations in particular. We are excited to build an attractive, modern, and high quality service offering together,” says Juho Ristimäki, Client Lead at Futurice.
